TEDx HCMUS: inSanity | Brand identity

DECRYPTION
"inSanity" or madness, can be said to signify the end of one's madness. However, from the perspective of TEDx HCMUS, in the very word "inSanity" it includes "Sanity". It can be said that in any madness of life out there, there are always moments when we are alert enough to find peace.

“Peace in the madness” is a tagline that conveys the full meaning of the word inSanity. It can be said that this is a promising TEDx Talks season with topics that are both crazy and hot, but leave us with moments of peace of mind, accumulating and condensing into good values.
KEY VISUAL​​​​​​​
The identity needs to meet the crazy criteria, but there should also be a limit so that the image does not bring negative. Therefore, this project uses handwritten fonts that come with wrap, transform tools and applying texture. Along with 2 typical TEDx main tones, red and black, the visual will bring an improvisation and chaos vibe.

SPEECH POSTERS
TEDx HCMUS 2023 talkshow has 6 speeches spanning many fields from economics, technology, education, art,... Each speech has its own characteristics, it can be a new topic that few dare to think about or mention, it can also be a gentle topic, making audiences comfortable, who are looking for sanity.

Those 6 speeches were communicated by 6 different posters with illustrations. The illustrations are built in the most careful way to best fit the title of the speech, visually showing the content of the speech. For example, the social media talk was illustrated with a shattered, hollowed out sphere and a smartphone, while the AI talk was illustrated with a human face half made up of machines.
The posters are flexibly presented as "dark mode" or "light mode" corresponding to a dark background (black, red) and a light background (yellow white). However, they still follow the mood board, maintain the principle of general composition, color, texture to create a connection with each other.
EARLY BIRD TICKETS
With the Early Bird tickets event, we build a specific image of a bird and develop related ideas. Some elements were added are tickets, a cage, feathers,...
MERCHANDISE
In addition, there are merchandises designed specifically for the organizers and audiences to watch the event. We designed shirts, lanyards, keychains and tote bags with the same style.
